About Righteousness

Righteousness, Instant, designed by Douglas Shuler first released in Aug, 1993 in the set Limited Edition Alpha and was printed exactly in 20 different ways.

This card, Righteousness, would be beneficial in a White Weenie deck that focuses on aggressive, low-cost creatures. It can surprise opponents by turning a small blocker into a formidable threat, potentially swinging the game in your favor. However, there are better options available such as Brave the Elements, which provides protection to multiple creatures and can be more versatile in various situations. Righteousness could see play as a situational card in specific matchups where a sudden boost in power can secure victory.

Rules

10/01/09

A “blocking creature” is one that has been declared as a blocker this combat, or one that was put onto the battlefield blocking this combat. Unless that creature leaves combat, it continues to be a blocking creature through the end of combat step, even if the creature or creatures it was blocking are no longer on the battlefield or have otherwise left combat.
