Onyx Mage, Creature — human wizard, designed by Izzy first released in Jul, 2011 in the set Magic 2012.
The Onyx Mage would be a valuable addition to a black-based control deck that focuses on removal and board control. While the ability to grant deathtouch can be useful for trading efficiently with opposing creatures, there are more powerful options available in Magic: the Gathering that offer similar effects with additional benefits, such as Vampire Nighthawk or Gifted Aetherborn. Overall, while the Onyx Mage has its niche uses, it may not be the most optimal choice for competitive play compared to other cards with similar abilities.

Multiple instances of deathtouch on the same creature provide no additional benefit. A creature dealt damage by a creature with multiple instances of deathtouch is destroyed only once.
