About Narcolepsy

Narcolepsy, Enchantment — aura, designed by Johann Bodin first released in Apr, 2010 in the set Rise of the Eldrazi and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.

This card, Narcolepsy, would be beneficial in a control deck that aims to keep the opponent's creatures tapped down to prevent them from attacking or using their abilities. However, there are better alternatives such as Claustrophobia, which taps the creature as soon as it enters the battlefield, making it more effective at controlling threats. While Narcolepsy could see play in certain situations, it may not be the optimal choice compared to other options available in Magic: the Gathering.

Rules

06/15/10

Narcolepsy’s triggered ability has an “intervening ‘if’ clause.” That means (1) the ability triggers only if the enchanted creature is untapped as any player’s upkeep begins, and (2) the ability does nothing if the enchanted creature is already tapped by the time it resolves.
