About Molten Disaster

Molten Disaster, Sorcery, designed by Ittoku first released in May, 2007 in the set Future Sight and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.

This card, Molten Disaster, would benefit a red deck looking to control the board and deal damage to both creatures and players simultaneously. It can be particularly effective against decks that rely on creatures without flying, giving it a strategic advantage in certain matchups. While there may be other cards that offer similar effects, Molten Disaster's flexibility with its kicker ability and split second can make it a strong choice in the right deck, especially in formats where board control and direct damage are key strategies.

Rules

03/19/21

After a spell with split second resolves (or otherwise leaves the stack), players may again cast spells and activate abilities before the next object on the stack resolves.

03/19/21

Casting a spell with split second won’t affect spells and abilities that are already on the stack.

03/19/21

Players may turn face-down creatures face up while a spell with split second is on the stack.

06/07/13

If the resolution of a triggered ability involves casting a spell, that spell can’t be cast if a spell with split second is on the stack.

06/07/13

Split second doesn’t prevent players from activating mana abilities.

06/07/13

Split second doesn’t prevent players from performing special actions. Notably, players may turn face-down creatures face up while a spell with split second is on the stack.

05/01/07

If Molten Disaster was kicked, Molten Disaster has split second as long as it’s on the stack.
