Longbow Archer, Creature — human soldier archer, designed by Eric Peterson first released in Feb, 1997 in the set Visions and was printed exactly in 6 different ways.
A Longbow Archer would be a strong addition to a white weenie aggro deck in Magic: the Gathering, providing early board presence with first strike and reach to handle flying threats. However, in a competitive setting, there are likely better options such as Skymarcher Aspirant or Dauntless Bodyguard for one mana, offering more aggressive stats or utility. While the Longbow Archer has its niche uses, it may not see widespread play in optimized decks.

This card now uses the Reach keyword ability to enable the blocking of flying creatures. This works because a creature with flying can only be blocked by creatures with flying or reach.
