Kozilek's Translator, Creature — eldrazi drone, designed by Izzy first released in Jan, 2016 in the set Oath of the Gatewatch.
Kozilek's Translator fits well in a colorless or mono-black deck that focuses on generating colorless mana and utilizing life as a resource, such as in a sacrifice or control strategy. It can be particularly effective in decks that leverage cards with high mana costs or abilities that benefit from colorless mana, like Eldrazi or certain artifacts. While there are other cards that can generate colorless mana, such as Sol Ring or Ancient Tomb, Kozilek's Translator offers the unique benefit of being a creature that can also be sacrificed for value. However, its relatively high mana cost and the life payment requirement may limit its playability compared to faster mana sources or more impactful creatures, so it may not see widespread play in competitive formats.
