About Jace, Memory Adept

Jace, Memory Adept, Legendary planeswalker — jace, designed by D. Alexander Gregory first released in Jul, 2011 in the set Magic 2012 and was printed exactly in 8 different ways.

A deck that focuses on milling the opponent's library would benefit from including Jace, Memory Adept, as his abilities help accelerate the milling process while also providing card advantage. However, there are better mill cards available in Magic: the Gathering, such as Jace, Wielder of Mysteries or Ashiok, Dream Render, which offer more efficient mill strategies or disruptive effects. Jace, Memory Adept could see play in casual or budget mill decks, but may not be the optimal choice for competitive play.

Rules

09/22/11

If Jace’s third ability causes a player to draw more cards than are left in their library, that player loses the game as a state-based action. If this ability causes all players to do this, the game is a draw.

09/22/11

If you target yourself with Jace’s first ability, you’ll draw a card first, then put the top card of your library into your graveyard.
