About Gustrider Exuberant

Gustrider Exuberant, Creature — human wizard, designed by Wayne Reynolds first released in May, 2020 in the set Shards of Alara.

This card would be beneficial in a white-based midrange or control deck that focuses on playing powerful creatures with high power. It can provide a surprise evasion tactic to swing the game in your favor or help close out a game by giving your big creatures flying. However, in a competitive setting, there may be better options available such as cards that provide more consistent or impactful effects, like Akroma, Angel of Wrath, which not only has flying but also other powerful abilities. Overall, Gustrider Exuberant could see play in specific strategies that benefit from its ability, but it may not be a staple in most decks.

Rules

10/01/08

The ability doesn’t target, so it checks the creatures’ powers only once: when the ability resolves. Once the ability resolves, it will continue to apply to the affected creatures no matter what their powers may become later in the turn.
