About Guardian of the Ages

Guardian of the Ages, Artifact creature — golem, designed by Ryan Pancoast first released in Jul, 2013 in the set Magic 2014.

A control deck focused on stalling the game and protecting planeswalkers would benefit from using Guardian of the Ages, as it provides a strong defensive option that can also turn into a threat with trample when needed. However, there are better options for a similar mana cost that offer more versatility or immediate impact, such as Baneslayer Angel or Carnage Tyrant, making Guardian of the Ages a less optimal choice for competitive play in most cases.

Rules

07/01/13

The effect of Guardian of the Ages’s triggered ability doesn’t wear off as the turn ends. Losing defender and gaining trample last indefinitely.
