Firedrinker Satyr could be beneficial in a hyper-aggressive red deck looking to quickly overwhelm the opponent with damage. However, its drawback of dealing damage to you when it is dealt damage may limit its effectiveness in certain matchups. Other cards like Monastery Swiftspear or Goblin Guide might be better choices for a similar strategy, as they provide consistent damage output without the drawback of hurting yourself, making Firedrinker Satyr less likely to see play in competitive decks.
