Essence of Ancestry: Body, Illusionist action - aura, designed by None first released in May, 2024 in the set Part the Mistveil.
A deck that focuses on Illusionist auras and has a vulnerability to damage from red sources would benefit from including Essence of Ancestry in its card selection. However, the ward 2 ability does make it a bit more versatile for protection against other threats as well. While there may be other cards with similar effects, the low cost of fab-1 0 for this card and its ability to prevent damage from red sources make it a strong contender for inclusion in a deck that fits its requirements.
