About Elvish Branchbender

Elvish Branchbender, Creature — elf druid, designed by Ralph Horsley first released in Oct, 2007 in the set Lorwyn and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

Elvish Branchbender would benefit a deck focused on elves and tribal synergies, particularly in a green-based ramp or aggro strategy. While Elvish Branchbender can be a fun and flavorful addition to such a deck, a more competitive alternative might be Joraga Warcaller, which provides a more consistent and impactful boost to all elves you control. However, Elvish Branchbender could still see play in casual or thematic decks looking to create unique board states and interactions.

Rules

08/01/08

A noncreature permanent that turns into a creature can attack, and its abilities can be activated, only if its controller has continuously controlled that permanent since the beginning of their most recent turn. It doesn’t matter how long the permanent has been a creature.

10/01/07

The value of X is determined when the ability resolves. It won’t change later, even if the number of Elves you control changes.
