This card, Dragon's Eye Savants, would be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's strategy by gaining information about their hand. While it provides a unique advantage with its morph ability, there are potentially better options like Vendilion Clique or Thoughtseize that offer more immediate and impactful hand disruption. However, Dragon's Eye Savants could still see play in certain metagames or as a budget alternative in decks that require hand knowledge to make strategic decisions.

At any time, you can look at a face-down spell or permanent you control. You can’t look at face-down spells or permanents you don’t control unless an effect instructs you to do so.

Because the permanent is on the battlefield both before and after it’s turned face up, turning a permanent face up doesn’t cause any enters-the-battlefield abilities to trigger.
