About Angel of Serenity

Angel of Serenity, Creature — angel, designed by Aleksi Briclot first released in Oct, 2012 in the set Return to Ravnica and was printed exactly in 8 different ways.

A deck that focuses on controlling the battlefield and graveyard, such as a control or reanimator deck, would benefit from using Angel of Serenity. While it is a powerful card for its ability to exile multiple creatures and disrupt opponents' strategies, there are other cards like Terminus or Wrath of God that offer more immediate and efficient board wipes. However, Angel of Serenity can still be a valuable inclusion in certain strategies for its unique exile and return ability, making it worth considering for play in the right deck.

Rules

01/24/13

You choose the targets as part of putting the enters-the-battlefield trigger on the stack. Because that ability includes “you may,” you choose whether to exile the targets when the ability resolves.

10/01/12

If Angel of Serenity leaves the battlefield before its enters-the-battlefield ability has resolved, its leaves-the-battlefield ability will trigger and do nothing. Then the enters-the-battlefield ability will resolve and exile the targeted creatures and/or creature cards indefinitely.
