About Abyssal Nocturnus

Abyssal Nocturnus, Creature — horror, designed by Jon Foster first released in Feb, 2006 in the set Guildpact.

Abyssal Nocturnus would be a great fit in a black discard-themed deck, where you can force your opponents to discard cards regularly to pump up its power and make it harder to block. However, for a more competitive edge, cards like Liliana's Caress or The Rack might offer more consistent value in a discard strategy, making them potentially better choices depending on the overall deck strategy. While Abyssal Nocturnus has its strengths, it may not be a top-tier choice for competitive play in comparison to other options available.

Rules

02/01/06

If your opponent discards any cards during their cleanup step to get down to the maximum hand size, the ability will trigger and players will receive priority. After that cleanup step ends, a new one will begin and Abyssal Nocturnus’s effect will end. It won’t carry over into the next turn.
