About Edgewall Innkeeper

Edgewall Innkeeper, Creature — human peasant, designed by Matt Stewart first released in Sep, 2019 in the set Throne of Eldraine and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

This card would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on casting creature spells with Adventure abilities, such as cards from the Throne of Eldraine set in Magic: The Gathering. However, there are better options like Edgewall Innkeeper's more powerful cousin, Lucky Clover, which doubles the effect of Adventure spells. While Edgewall Innkeeper can be a decent inclusion in a deck centered around Adventures, Lucky Clover offers a more potent advantage and is often preferred for such strategies.

Rules

10/04/19

Edgewall Innkeeper’s ability resolves before the spell that caused it to trigger. It resolves even if that spell is countered.

10/04/19

If an effect refers to a creature card, creature spell, or creature that has an Adventure, it won’t find an instant or sorcery spell on the stack that’s been cast as an Adventure.
