Colossus of Akros, Artifact creature — golem, designed by Zack Stella first released in Sep, 2013 in the set Theros.
A deck focused on stalling and controlling the board would benefit from using Colossus of Akros, as it provides a solid defensive wall with its defender and indestructible abilities. However, for a more aggressive deck, there may be better options like Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, which offers a more immediate and powerful impact on the game. Overall, Colossus of Akros could see play in certain control or midrange strategies that aim to stall the game and eventually overwhelm the opponent with a massive, trampling threat.

Colossus of Akros doesn’t lose defender when it’s monstrous. It’s just able to attack.

Monstrous isn’t an ability that a creature has. It’s just something true about that creature. If the creature stops being a creature or loses its abilities, it will continue to be monstrous.
