About Skittering Skirge

Skittering Skirge, Creature — phyrexian imp, designed by Ron Spencer first released in Oct, 1998 in the set Urza's Saga and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.

Skittering Skirge could be beneficial in a deck that focuses on sacrificing creatures for value, such as a black sacrifice deck or a Phyrexian-themed deck. However, there are better options available like Bloodghast or Gravecrawler, which provide more consistent value without the drawback of needing to sacrifice the creature upon casting another one. Skittering Skirge may not see much play in competitive decks due to its limitations compared to other similar cards.

Rules

10/04/04

The triggered ability triggers when the creature spell is cast, and it is put on the stack before any responses can be cast or activated. This ability will resolve before that creature enters the battlefield.
