About Rekindling Phoenix

Rekindling Phoenix, Creature — phoenix, designed by Jason Rainville first released in Jan, 2018 in the set Rivals of Ixalan Promos and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.

Rekindling Phoenix is a powerful card that would benefit decks looking for resilient threats and recurring value. It fits well in midrange or control decks that aim to outvalue their opponents over the long game. While there are other strong options like Glorybringer or Chandra, Torch of Defiance, Rekindling Phoenix's ability to come back from the graveyard with haste can make it a solid choice in certain metagames, especially against removal-heavy decks. Overall, it's a card worth considering for decks that want a durable threat with built-in recursion.

Rules

01/19/18

If you don’t have a card named Rekindling Phoenix in your graveyard, the Elemental token’s ability is immediately removed from the stack after it triggers and you won’t sacrifice the token. If that target becomes illegal after the ability has triggered but before it resolves, you also won’t sacrifice the Elemental token. In either case, it will trigger again during your next upkeep.
