A deck focused on token generation and life gain would benefit from including Mycologist in its strategy. While Mycologist offers a steady source of Saproling tokens and life gain potential, there are potentially better cards like Tendershoot Dryad or Verdant Embrace that can provide more powerful token generation effects. Mycologist could see play in a casual or budget deck, but may not be competitive in more optimized or higher-powered formats.
