Linvala, Keeper of Silence would be a great addition to a control deck that aims to shut down opponent's activated abilities, especially in formats where activated abilities are prevalent. While Linvala is a strong card, there are other options like Hushwing Gryff or Tocatli Honor Guard that may offer better value depending on the specific metagame. Linvala should definitely see play in decks that can benefit from her ability to control the board and disrupt opponent's strategies.

Linvala’s last ability affects only creatures on the battlefield. Activated abilities that work in other zones (such as bloodrush or unearth) can still be activated. Triggered abilities (starting with “when,” “whenever,” or “at”) are unaffected.
