About Grim Roustabout

Grim Roustabout, Creature — skeleton warrior, designed by Steven Belledin first released in Oct, 2012 in the set Return to Ravnica.

Grim Roustabout would fit well in a black aggressive deck looking to apply pressure early on, utilizing its low cost and regeneration ability to maintain board presence. However, there are potentially better options such as Vampire Lacerator or Carnophage for more efficient aggressive creatures, making Grim Roustabout less likely to see play in competitive decks.

Rules

04/15/13

A creature with unleash can’t block if it has any +1/+1 counter on it, not just one put on it by the unleash ability.

04/15/13

You make the choice to have the creature with unleash enter the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter or not as it’s entering the battlefield. At that point, it’s too late for a player to respond to the creature spell by trying to counter it, for example.
