About Graceful Adept

Graceful Adept, Creature — human wizard, designed by Scott M. Fischer first released in Oct, 2004 in the set Champions of Kamigawa.

A deck that focuses on card advantage and drawing a lot of cards would benefit greatly from including Graceful Adept in its strategy, as it allows the player to hold onto a large number of cards without being limited by a maximum hand size. While Graceful Adept is a solid card for maintaining hand advantage, there are better options available such as Jace, the Mind Sculptor or Consecrated Sphinx, which provide additional benefits beyond just the unlimited hand size. However, Graceful Adept could still see play in decks looking to maintain a high hand size and leverage that advantage in their gameplay.

Rules

10/01/09

If multiple effects modify your hand size, apply them in timestamp order. For example, if you put Null Profusion (an enchantment that says your maximum hand size is two) onto the battlefield and then put Graceful Adept onto the battlefield, you’ll have no maximum hand size. However, if those permanents entered the battlefield in the opposite order, your maximum hand size would be two.
