Gearseeker Serpent, Creature — serpent, designed by Filip Burburan first released in Sep, 2016 in the set Kaladesh and was printed exactly in 6 different ways.
A deck focused on artifacts, such as an artifact-heavy deck in the blue color identity, would benefit from including Gearseeker Serpent as it can potentially be cast for a reduced cost based on the number of artifacts you control. While there may be better cards with similar effects, such as Inkwell Leviathan which has shroud and islandwalk, Gearseeker Serpent could still see play in decks looking to utilize its unblockable ability as a finisher or evasion strategy.

The total cost to cast Gearseeker Serpent is locked in before you pay that cost. For example, if you control three artifacts, including one you can sacrifice to add to your mana pool, the total cost of Gearseeker Serpent is . Then you can sacrifice the artifact when you activate mana abilities just before paying the cost.
