This card would be beneficial in a control deck that aims to disrupt the opponent's strategy by forcing them to lose life and potentially deplete their resources. While Duskmantle Seer can provide card advantage and pressure the opponent's life total, there are better options for card advantage in competitive Magic: the Gathering formats, such as Snapcaster Mage or Jace, the Mind Sculptor. However, Duskmantle Seer could still see play in more casual or budget decks looking for a unique and flavorful card to include.
