Barrage Tyrant, Creature — eldrazi, designed by Slawomir Maniak first released in Jun, 2002 in the set Magic Online Promos and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.
A deck focused on colorless creature tokens or creatures with high power would benefit from including Barrage Tyrant, as it can utilize those creatures to deal direct damage to any target. However, there are potentially better cards like Endbringer or Reality Smasher that offer more versatile abilities or stronger stats, making Barrage Tyrant more situational and less likely to see play in competitive decks unless in a specific strategy centered around sacrificing colorless creatures for direct damage.

A card with devoid is just colorless. It’s not colorless and the colors of mana in its mana cost.

Barrage Tyrant deals the damage, not the sacrificed creature. For example, if the sacrificed creature had lifelink, you won’t gain life.

Devoid works in all zones, not just on the battlefield.
