Anafenza, the Foremost would be a great addition to an Abzan (W B G) midrange or aggro deck in Magic: the Gathering, providing both offensive pressure with the +1/+1 counter ability and disruption by exiling opponent's creatures. While there may be other powerful options like Siege Rhino or Gideon, Ally of Zendikar, Anafenza's unique ability to exile opponent's creatures can be particularly effective against graveyard-based strategies, making her a strong choice for decks looking to disrupt their opponent's game plan. Overall, Anafenza should definitely see play in the right deck and can be a valuable addition to the battlefield.

If your opponent discards a creature card while Anafenza is on the battlefield, abilities that function when a card is discarded (such as madness) still work, even though that card never reaches a graveyard. In addition, spells or abilities that check the characteristics of a discarded card (such as Chandra Ablaze’s first ability) can find that card in exile.
