Zuran Orb, Artifact, designed by Sandra Everingham first released in Jun, 1995 in the set Ice Age and was printed exactly in 15 different ways. It see play in 3 formats: Timeless, Commander and Casual. It's a key card in 13 combos.
This card would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on sacrificing lands for value, such as a landfall deck or a deck that aims to ramp quickly and doesn't mind sacrificing lands for life gain. While Zuran Orb can be useful in certain situations, there are better cards like Crucible of Worlds or Life from the Loam that provide more consistent and powerful land recursion abilities. However, Zuran Orb could still see play in specific strategies that benefit from land sacrifice synergies.
