Xantid Swarm, Creature — insect, designed by David Martin first released in May, 2003 in the set Scourge and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
A deck focused on aggressive strategies or locking down the opponent's ability to cast spells would benefit from including Xantid Swarm in its lineup. While Xantid Swarm's ability to prevent the defending player from casting spells can be powerful in certain situations, there are better options like Gaddock Teeg for a similar effect with more utility. However, Xantid Swarm could still see play in specific metagames or sideboard strategies where its ability to disrupt spellcasting can be particularly effective.
