About Thelon of Havenwood

Thelon of Havenwood, Legendary creature — elf druid, designed by Kev Walker first released in Oct, 2006 in the set Time Spiral and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

Thelon of Havenwood would be a great fit in a Fungus tribal deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it can quickly pump up all Fungus creatures on the battlefield with its spore counter ability. However, there are more efficient options like Slimefoot, the Stowaway, which not only provides a similar buff to Fungus creatures but also generates Saproling tokens and has a lower mana cost. Thelon of Havenwood could still see play in a more casual or thematic Fungus deck, but for competitive play, other options may be more optimal.

Rules

03/19/21

Because damage remains marked on a creature until the damage is removed as the turn ends, nonlethal damage dealt to a Fungus creature may become lethal if Thelon leaves the battlefield during that turn or if spore counters are removed from the Fungus during that turn.

09/25/06

All creatures with Thallid in their name happen to have the creature type Fungus, but not all Fungus creatures have Thallid in their names.
