This card would benefit artifact-focused decks that aim to quickly ramp up their board presence with noncreature artifacts. While Smelting Vat offers a unique ability to cheat out artifacts, it may not be as efficient as other cards like Arcum Dagsson or Goblin Welder which can provide similar effects more reliably. However, in a deck that can consistently sacrifice artifacts, Smelting Vat could still see play as a situational and potentially powerful tool for generating advantage.
