About Slipstream Serpent

Slipstream Serpent, Creature — serpent, designed by Darrell Riche first released in Oct, 2006 in the set Time Spiral and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

A deck that focuses on controlling the board through Island-based strategies, such as blue control decks in Magic: The Gathering, would benefit from Slipstream Serpent as it provides a powerful creature with a conditional attack restriction. However, there are better options available, like Aethersnipe or Mulldrifter, which offer more versatility and impact for their cost, making Slipstream Serpent less likely to see play in competitive decks.

Rules

03/19/21

Slipstream Serpent’s first ability applies only while you’re declaring attackers. If it attacks while face down and then is turned face up, it’s still attacking even if the defending player controls no Islands.
