About Rogue Refiner

Rogue Refiner, Creature — human rogue, designed by Victor Adame Minguez first released in May, 2020 in the set Aether Revolt and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.

A deck that focuses on card advantage and energy synergy, such as a Simic energy deck in Magic: The Gathering, would benefit from including Rogue Refiner. While Rogue Refiner provides card draw and energy generation upon entering the battlefield, there are other cards like Tireless Tracker or Bristling Hydra that offer more impactful abilities or threats for a similar mana cost. However, Rogue Refiner can still be a solid inclusion in decks looking to maintain card advantage and energy resources.

is the energy symbol. It represents one energy counter.

Energy counters aren’t mana. They don’t go away as steps, phases, and turns end, and effects that add mana “of any type” to your mana pool can’t give you energy counters.

Keep careful track of how many energy counters each player has. You may do so by keeping a running count on paper, by using a die, or by any other clear and mutually agreeable method.
