A control or tempo deck would benefit from using Riddlemaster Sphinx in Magic: the Gathering, as it provides a strong tempo swing by bouncing an opponent's creature while having evasion with flying. However, there are potentially better options such as Aether Adept or Man-o'-War, which offer similar effects at a lower mana cost. Riddlemaster Sphinx could still see play in certain decks that need a higher impact creature, but its cost may limit its inclusion in more competitive decks.
