About Molten Nursery

Molten Nursery, Enchantment, designed by Raymond Swanland first released in Oct, 2015 in the set Battle for Zendikar.

This card would be beneficial in a colorless or artifact-focused deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it synergizes well with colorless spells, triggering its ability to deal damage. However, there are potentially better cards for similar effects, such as Impact Tremors or Purphoros, God of the Forge, which offer more consistent and impactful damage triggers. Whether Molten Nursery sees play would depend on the specific strategy and synergies of the deck, but it may not be a top choice compared to other options available.

Rules

Cards with devoid use frames that are variations of the transparent frame traditionally used for Eldrazi. The top part of the card features some color over a background based on the texture of the hedrons that once imprisoned the Eldrazi. This coloration is intended to aid deckbuilding and game play.

If a card loses devoid, it will still be colorless. This is because effects that change an object’s color (like the one created by devoid) are considered before the object loses devoid.

08/25/15

Other cards and abilities can give a card with devoid color. If that happens, it’s just the new color, not that color and colorless.
