Hero of Iroas, Creature — human soldier, designed by Willian Murai first released in Feb, 2014 in the set Born of the Gods and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
Hero of Iroas is a valuable addition to an enchantment-based deck in Magic: The Gathering, especially one focused on Aura spells. It provides cost reduction for Auras and grows in power with its Heroic ability. While there may be more powerful cards like Kor Spiritdancer or Sram, Senior Edificer for Aura synergy decks, Hero of Iroas can still find a place in the right strategy with its cost-saving benefits and Heroic triggers.

To determine the total cost of a spell, start with the mana cost or alternative cost you’re paying, add any cost increases, then apply any cost reductions. The converted mana cost of the spell remains unchanged, no matter what the total cost to cast it was.

Heroic abilities will resolve before the spell that caused them to trigger.
09/15/13
Heroic abilities won’t trigger when a copy of a spell is created on the stack or when a spell’s targets are changed to include a creature with a heroic ability.
