Gorgon Recluse, Creature — gorgon, designed by Darrell Riche first released in Oct, 2006 in the set Time Spiral and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
This card, Gorgon Recluse, would be beneficial in a black control deck that focuses on removal and disrupting the opponent's board. While its ability to destroy nonblack creatures when blocking or being blocked is powerful, there are potentially better options available such as Murder or Doom Blade which provide more efficient removal at a lower cost. Gorgon Recluse may see play in casual or themed decks, but in competitive settings, it may be overshadowed by more versatile and cost-effective removal spells.

Gorgon Recluse’s ability triggers when it blocks or becomes blocked by a nonblack creature and creates a delayed triggered ability that will destroy that creature at the end of combat step. It destroys that creature then even if Gorgon Recluse doesn’t survive that long or the creature somehow becomes black.
