About Filigree Angel

Filigree Angel, Artifact creature — angel, designed by Richard Whitters first released in Apr, 2009 in the set Alara Reborn and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.

Filigree Angel would be a great addition to an artifact-heavy deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it can provide a significant life gain when it enters the battlefield. Decks focused on artifacts, such as artifact ramp or artifact synergy decks, would benefit the most from this card. However, there are arguably better options for similar effects, such as Baneslayer Angel or Shalai, Voice of Plenty, which offer more immediate impact or protection. Whether Filigree Angel sees play would depend on the specific strategy and synergy of the deck it's included in.

Rules

05/01/09

Filigree Angel’s enters-the-battlefield ability counts Filigree Angel itself, assuming that it’s still on the battlefield and still an artifact by the time the ability resolves.
