About Ertai, the Corrupted

Ertai, the Corrupted, Legendary creature — phyrexian human wizard, designed by Kev Walker first released in Feb, 2001 in the set Planeshift and was printed exactly in 5 different ways.

This card, Ertai, the Corrupted, would be a great fit in a control deck that focuses on sacrificing creatures or enchantments for value while also having the ability to counter spells. It can be particularly effective in decks that have a lot of token creatures or expendable enchantments to sacrifice. While Ertai is a strong card for its versatility, there are other options like Glen Elendra Archmage that offer a similar effect with more flexibility. Whether Ertai should see play ultimately depends on the specific strategy and synergies of the deck, but it certainly has the potential to be a valuable addition in the right build.
