Defiant Salvager would fit well in a deck focused on sacrificing artifacts or creatures for value, such as a sacrifice or aristocrats deck. While it provides a way to grow stronger by sacrificing, there are potentially better cards like Blood Artist or Carrion Feeder that offer more immediate impact or synergy in such decks. However, depending on the strategy and synergy of the deck, Defiant Salvager could still see play as a solid inclusion for incremental advantage and board presence.
