Death Rattle, Instant, designed by Vance Kovacs first released in May, 2007 in the set Future Sight and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
This card, Death Rattle, would be beneficial in a black control deck that focuses on graveyard interaction and removal. While it offers a powerful removal option for nongreen creatures, its high mana cost may limit its efficiency in faster-paced games. Other cards like Murder or Hero's Downfall may offer more cost-effective and versatile removal options, making Death Rattle less likely to see play in competitive decks unless the graveyard interaction aspect is crucial to the strategy.

Because delve isn’t an alternative cost, it can be used in conjunction with alternative costs, such as flashback. It can also be used to pay for additional costs that include generic mana.

Delve doesn’t change a spell’s mana cost or converted mana cost. For example, Treasure Cruise’s converted mana cost is 8 even if you exiled three cards to cast it.

Delve reduces only the generic mana requirement of the spell.
