Deadbridge Goliath, Creature — insect, designed by Nils Hamm first released in May, 2020 in the set Magic Online Promos and was printed exactly in 7 different ways.
A deck that focuses on graveyard recursion and +1/+1 counter synergies, such as Golgari or Sultai midrange or graveyard-based decks, would benefit from including Deadbridge Goliath. However, there are better options available, such as Varolz, the Scar-Striped, which offers a more efficient and flexible way to utilize +1/+1 counters in a graveyard-based strategy. Deadbridge Goliath may struggle to see play in competitive formats due to its high mana cost and limited impact compared to other available options.

Exiling the creature card with scavenge is part of the cost of activating the scavenge ability. Once the ability is activated and the cost is paid, it’s too late to stop the ability from being activated by trying to remove the creature card from the graveyard.
