Darksteel Colossus would be a great addition to a ramp or control deck that aims to stall the game and then drop a massive threat. While it is a powerful card with trample and indestructible, it may be too slow for competitive play due to its high mana cost. Other cards like Emrakul, the Aeons Torn or Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre may offer more immediate impact and versatility in certain strategies, making them potentially better options depending on the deck's game plan.

Lethal damage, damage from a source with deathtouch, and effects that say “destroy” won’t cause a creature with indestructible to be put into the graveyard. However, a creature with indestructible can be put into the graveyard for a number of reasons. The most likely reasons are if it’s sacrificed or if its toughness is 0 or less. (In these cases, of course, Darksteel Colossus would be shuffled into its owner’s library instead of being put into its owner’s graveyard.)
