About Coercive Portal

Coercive Portal, Artifact, designed by Yeong-Hao Han first released in Jun, 2014 in the set Conspiracy and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.

A deck that focuses on controlling the board and manipulating player decisions would benefit from using Coercive Portal, as it can create interesting political dynamics and potentially wipe out opponents' nonland permanents. However, there are better options like Cyclonic Rift which offers more flexibility and immediate impact. While Coercive Portal can be a fun and unique addition to a deck, its situational nature may limit its competitive viability in more optimized strategies.

Rules

05/29/14

Because the votes are cast in turn order, each player will know the votes of players who voted beforehand.

05/29/14

No player votes until the spell or ability resolves. Any responses to that spell or ability must be made without knowing the outcome of the vote.

05/29/14

The phrase “the vote is tied” refers only to when there is more than one choice that received the most votes. For example, if a 5-player vote from among three different choices ends 3 votes to 1 vote to 1 vote, the vote isn’t tied.
