Aether Rift, Enchantment, designed by Heather Hudson first released in May, 2020 in the set Invasion.
A deck that focuses on graveyard recursion and has a high density of creature cards would benefit from using Aether Rift, as it provides a way to potentially bring creatures back to the battlefield each turn. However, there are better options available such as Goblin Dark-Dwellers or Eternal Witness which offer more control and consistency in returning specific cards from the graveyard. Aether Rift could see play in a casual or budget deck, but in more competitive environments, it may not be the optimal choice due to its randomness and potential drawbacks.

First, the card is discarded. Then, in turn order, each player is given the option to pay 5 life. Then, if no player paid 5 life, the card is put onto the battlefield from the graveyard.
