A Talent for Murder

Scheduled for January 14, 2027, *A Talent for Murder* follows a young man who travels from New York to Switzerland to meet Patricia Highsmith. His aim is to persuade the acclaimed thriller writer to write one final installment in her Tom Ripley series. As he pursues that goal, his efforts gradually become more sinister.

The premise places Highsmith and Ripley—her recurring fictional character—at the center of the story. The young man’s journey begins as an attempt to secure another Ripley book, but the announced plot turns on the increasingly troubling way he tries to get it.
