About Veiled Apparition

Veiled Apparition, Enchantment, designed by Andrew Robinson first released in Oct, 1998 in the set Urza's Saga.

Veiled Apparition would be beneficial in a control deck that aims to disrupt the opponent's spells while also having a potential threat on the battlefield. However, there are better options such as Spell Queller, which not only counters a spell but also provides a flying threat without the upkeep cost, making it a more versatile and efficient choice for competitive play. Veiled Apparition could see play in more casual or budget decks where the additional flexibility and surprise factor could be advantageous.

Rules

08/01/08

A noncreature permanent that turns into a creature can attack, and its abilities can be activated, only if its controller has continuously controlled that permanent since the beginning of their most recent turn. It doesn’t matter how long the permanent has been a creature.

10/04/04

It changes into a creature even if the spell is countered.

10/04/04

You choose whether to pay or not on resolution. If not, then you sacrifice the creature. You can choose to not pay if you do not control the creature on resolution.
