About Vault of Whispers

Vault of Whispers, Artifact land, designed by Rob Alexander first released in Oct, 2003 in the set Mirrodin and was printed exactly in 10 different ways. It see play in 2 formats: Pauper and Commander.

The Vault of Whispers card would benefit decks that heavily rely on black mana, such as mono-black or black-heavy multicolor decks, as it provides a consistent source of black mana. However, there are better options available, such as the more versatile and powerful Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, which turns all lands into Swamps in addition to tapping for black mana. Vault of Whispers may see play in budget or theme decks, but in competitive settings, Urborg would be the preferred choice for its added utility.
