Decks that revolve around -1/-1 counters or have synergies with counters in general would find this card useful. However, there are better options available like Cauldron of Souls or Hex Parasite that offer more versatile or immediate effects, so Trigon of Corruption may not see much play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks.
