About Thalakos Lowlands

Thalakos Lowlands, Land, designed by Jeff A. Menges first released in Oct, 1997 in the set Tempest and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.

A deck that focuses on mana fixing and flexibility, such as a control deck with a white-blue color combination, would benefit from using Thalakos Lowlands. While the card provides access to both white and blue mana, the drawback of not untapping during the next untap step may limit its effectiveness in faster-paced decks. There are potentially better options available, such as dual lands that provide untapped mana without drawbacks, like Hallowed Fountain or Glacial Fortress, which may be preferred in most situations. Thalakos Lowlands could see play in specific deck archetypes that value its unique mana abilities and are willing to work around its drawback.
